You Are Old and Restricted

So when do these restrictions come off?

People are asking how does it feel to be 81 years old, and the answer is that it’s like I felt when I was 18 years old. Everything is legal, but I can’t do anything because people put restriction on you because you are old. It was the same when I was 18 years old. Everyone tries to put restrictions on you because you are too young.

So when do these restrictions stop? As soon as you can prove that you're capable of doing what you are told not to do. As an example, when you are 18 years old, your parents put restrictions on doing certain things by yourself. One of the reasons is that you might know how, which is good, but you don’t have the experience, which could be dangerous.

When you are 81 years old, your family or friends put restrictions on you, not because of your experience, but because they are scared that your old age makes it too dangerous. For example, lifting boxes that have a weight of more than 10 pounds because you might have a heart attack.

As another example, driving a car. Your family might stop you from driving a car, scared your reactions are not fast enough, and you might have an accident.

You know that your friends and your family love you, and they are trying to protect you, but the feelings that the older and younger people get is that they are not good for anything.

So when do these restrictions come off? In reality they never do until you can prove that you don’t need to have these restrictions because you can do what is restricted.

Usually, older people know their limits, and because they don’t want to get hurt or hurt someone else, they will not go above their limits.
