Sarah J. Maas just released her new novel, A Court of Silver Flames, and we wonder where that will take us next.

With her newly anticipated novel out, A Court of Silver Flames, many question where this will take all of the characters we have come to know and love. I have yet to get my hands on a copy, but I can only imagine the journey that Sarah J. Maas is about to take us on.

When we left off with A Court of Frost and Starlight, we saw all of our beloved characters in the aftermath of the last fight against the King of Hybern in A Court of Wings and Ruin. We saw them repairing Prythian and preparing for the Winter Solstice. But not much else happens in terms of excitement. I wanted there to be more, the threat of another unknown enemy, anything. But maybe that's just me wishing for this series to continue on forever. Given the places that Maas could take these characters, I want it to go on for much longer. I know that Maas is giving us more than we anticipated, but in my mind, it just isn't enough. I'm hoping for something big with A Court of Silver Flames. I want it to be something that gets me excited to read again. Something that I haven't felt from Maas since A Court of Thorns and Roses, her debut book in the series.

With that being said, I hope to see more of Rhysand and Feyre's relationship evolve, but the one I want to know more about is Azriel the shadowsinger. We don't know much about him or the extent of his abilities. This new novella is said to revolve around Cassian and Nesta Archeron, but what about Azriel? What trouble could the shadowsinger be up to, or causing for that matter? Azriel is one of the most secretive characters in the series. So it makes me question what Maas is hiding about him and why.

In this new novella, many fans are holding out hope that Maas will give us something that could potentially lead to a new novel. From what I have seen on social media, fans want more. But they will settle for anything that Maas gives us. I can't really say I blame them. I personally will also take whatever Maas gives us and it will hold me over for about a month or two until I start to want more.

It should also be noted that A Court of Thorns and Roses is in the works to be adapted into a TV series, confirmed by Maas. I can't wait to see what is in store for us on that one.
