Trump Administration Can't Ignore Impeachment Frame Job

Edmund Burke declared: "“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” After getting away with a fraudulent impeachment attempt, no wonder Democrats thought they could also rig the Iowa caucuses and tear up the State of the Union address...

President Trump's acquittal by the US Senate in his impeachment trial is worth celebrating.

However, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's premeditated decision to tear up the State of the Union address exposes the Democratic Party's contempt for the American People and the Constitution.

Unlike Republicans, who tend to fold under pressure, Democrats traditionally move on to their next agenda item after a defeat.

For example, after failing to derail Justice Kavanaugh's Supreme Court confirmation, Democrats never looked back at the testimony of their "post-truth" witnesses.

Unfortunately, the GOP followed their lead, failing to prosecute Christine Blasey Ford or her confederates for misleading Congress with absurd allegations.

Likewise, Anita Hill's smears of Clarence Thomas didn't interfere with her book deals, media celebrity, speaking fees, or a teaching career.

The lesson was clear -- there is no penalty for misleading Congress if false charges are made against a Republican.

Compare this treatment to the prosecution of Lt. Col. Ollie North in the Reagan Administration, or to Gen. Michael Flynn in the Trump administration to see why America cannot survive a two-tier justice system, where crimes committed by Democrats are ignored while Republicans are prosecuted.

For the past three years innumerable lies, false claims, hoaxes, frauds, concoctions, forgeries, misleading and perjured testimony, anonymous denunciations, and corrupt investigations have been treated with undeserved respect by the GOP, permitting the Democrats' impeachment script to play out and hobble good government.

As President Trump noted, the Mueller investigation should have been over in a day. Instead it dragged on for years.

The pathetic melodrama that just ended turned out to be, sadly, the very "insurance policy" mentioned in FBI text messages discovered after the 2016 election.

Impeachment not only prevented prosecution of wrongdoing by the Obama administration, it simultaneously paralyzed the Trump Administration and Congress.

That's not the record of a loyal opposition, it's a record of sabotage and subversion by wreckers intent on destroying the checks and balances of our Constitutional Republic.

From the mutiny of Col. Vindman, to false charges brought in bad faith by a fake CIA "whistleblower," to absurd testimony by State Department officials, to bald-faced lies by Chairman Schiff, to coverups of massive corruption by Vice-President Biden and his family, to unreadable and unwatchable media cheerleading, culminating in Speaker Pelosi's contemptuous destruction of an official document required by Article II, Section 3, Clause 1 of the U.S. Constitution -- impeachment proved a disgraceful spectacle injurious to the dignity of both House and Senate.

No wonder Democrats thought they could sabotage the Iowa caucuses and tear up the Constitution. Last time I checked, the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division of the US Department of Justice had jurisdiction, but has done nothing.

Edmund Burke declared: "“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

It is time for the Trump Administration to act decisively to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States from those who would destroy it.
