The Bachelor franchise has once again brought a group of wild girls together to compete for the love of this year’s bachelor, Colton Underwood.

While viewers were already skeptical if Colton was ready to be the bachelor after admitting he was a virgin on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette and cozying up with Tia Booth on Bachelor in Paradise, so far he’s done an okay job of sifting through these potential matches. As always there has been ups and downs and plenty of drama on this season, but that’s why we love The Bachelor.

The season started with 30 women competing for Colton’s love, but now we’re down to just 7 girls left. This season had some of the youngest girls on it, most of the ladies being under 25, which brought on a lot of comments about the older girls being cougars, but by older I mean 30, which is not a cougar. There have been a ton of personal stories coming out from the girls, which is to be expected, but there is one story that was a first on the Bachelor. Caelynn told Colton about a time when she was raped. This was not only huge for the potential couple, but this was a significant storyline for the show itself. Obviously, there have been other personal stories that we relate to, but this one was something so different for this show and I respect them and Caelynn for coming out with this story.

Colton’s journey has not been easy. Between the drama, and being told numerous times that some of these girls aren’t there for the right reasons, Colton has a tough choice ahead of him. Last week, the episode started out with a rose ceremony that sent home both Nicole and Onyeka after their fight. Then after a group date, Sydney confronted Colton because she felt like she wasn’t getting enough from him. In the end, she decided to leave the show, but not before warning Colton not to get distracted by shiny things, and to find the girls that are really there for him.

After an okay date with Kirpa, Demi decides to go visit Colton in his room to tell him how she feels. Here’s my advice, no matter what reason you are going to their room, it’s a bad idea. Girls who do this almost always end up going home and this was the case with Demi. At the rose ceremony, Colton ends up sending Katie home and is once again warned that some people there aren’t ready for marriage. This is the third person in one week to warn him of this, so clearly, he is missing something. All in all, this season has brought tons of drama, which we love, and some potential matches for a future with Colton. With hometowns right around the corner, we’re all wondering who will end up taking Colton to meet their parents, and also when’s that fence jump going to happen, cause we’re all waiting.
