Could it be that there are too many people getting shot on the street?

Two thousand twenty came in quietly this year, not like the years before.

Last year there were people walking around the neighborhood in small groups, whereas this year (2020), there seems to be no one walking around. Could this be that there are too many people getting shot on the street?

It seems like every day you hear on the news about groups of people being killed in churches and synagogues; the worst part? Too many people don’t care.

The rumor is that these shootings happen because the National Rifle Association (NRA) played around with the 2nd-amendment of our Constitution. Before the NRA got hold of it, the 2nd-amendment meant that only members of a militia could bear arms. The NRA changed this to mean that anyone can bear arms, as long as they have a gun permit. Many people believe that while there may be many reasons to carry a gun, there is only one purpose for it and that is to kill. Our President, Liar Trump, should have a Bill in Congress that asserts there should be stronger gun control laws than what we have now.

It seems that in 2020, many people are praying for changes in our Government and both parties are working for the same causes. As an example, they both say they want to get back to normalcy in our present administration, and to stop other countries from interfering with our elections when they have no real reason to get involved. We must remember that we are not and should not be a dictatorship, but we seemed to be heading that way. Could it be that both political parties can’t read the signs that we are going in that direction?

Our Constitution is set up to prevent a collapse into dictatorship if our politicians keep their, his or her, promises to follow the Constitution. If the politician goes against following the Constitution, they should be impeached and thrown out of office.

Maybe this is why this year - 2020 - came in without a Big Bang: people are worried about our current administration not following the Constitution.
