The War On Medicine Makes It To The Oval Office

Following President Trump's recent health evaluation, former administration professionals have some amusing ideas on the state of medicine.

President Trump recently had his annual physical evaluation, and the White House physician Sean Cooley gave the president a clean bill of health. In a statement, the doctor expressed his prediction that Trump would remain healthy for the duration of his time in office. Naturally some weren't too happy about this, but a lawyer and Obama era administrator Rob Klain expressed an amusing level of disdain, and had choice medical knowledge to impart on us. According to Klain, "No doctor can predict someone's future health."

Now I'm not sure where Klain went to medical school, but the view on the medical profession is amusing. Especially as someone tasked to take charge of the U.S. response to the Ebola epidemic in West Africa in 2014, you think he would have better self awareness to his statement.

If Klain's statement was a one-off quip, I probably would have laughed it off and not written about it, but he actually represents an unfortunate trend. More and more often, the medical community is viewed as out-of-touch quacks, and it's because they can't conform science to meet intersectional views. They can't change reality on gender, despite new gender ideology. They can't make morbid obesity healthy, despite what the fat acceptance movement says. And they can't make Trump unhealthy, no matter how much some people might not like him.
