October is Rett Syndrome Month. It's a rare and very challenging disease that affects just one in 10,000 girls. It's a tough go, but there is hope. Tim Freeman from the Rett Syndrome Research Trust tells us more.

Maya was recently diagnosed with Rett Syndrome.

It's possible gene therapy could lead to a cure for Rett Syndrome in a few years, and the Rett Syndrome Research Trust is seeking contributions that will support many of the research efforts now underway.
