The Biden Clown Show Must Go On

On the economy, immigration and race, the president is pursuing political policies at odds with what is best for America.

It has been some six months since Joe Biden became president of the United States. It just seems longer, given the Forrest Gump-like way Biden is running the country into the ground, minus the charm of said character. "I'm not a smart man," one imagines Biden admitting in the Oval Office, "but I know what ice cream is!"

ECONOMY
With vaccines available and already being administered at the time he was sworn into office, Biden took over an economy well on its way to a post-pandemic recovery. All he had to do was leave the economy alone for it to prosper.

Naturally, he and his Democratic allies in Congress did not leave it alone and have been needlessly spending trillions. This stream of money chasing a supply of goods that is not expanding — many goods and raw materials are in short supply due to pandemic-related disruptions — inevitably results in higher prices.

Despite what some have dubbed "Bidenflation," the president and his Democratic allies stubbornly keep up emergency-level spending even as growth returns to normal. It is a course of action we are all paying for. Literally.

IMMIGRATION
Recent unrest in Cuba has highlighted the inconsistency of the Biden administration's immigration policy. Fearing a possible mass exodus from the communist paradise that is Cuba, an administration official anonymously promised a "robust presence" in the Florida Straits to deter anyone fleeing the tyranny of said island nation.

That is in stark contrast to the de facto welcome mat at the southern U.S. border, where people can be reunited with family members while asylum cases play out. That is on top of the administration ending Trump's asylum agreements with El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, which restricted the ability of people to seek asylum at the southwest border. This was comically followed by the administration securing agreements with Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala to tighten their borders and stem the flow of migration.

The former group tends to end up voting Republican, the latter Democrat.

RACE
Not surprisingly, the Biden administration has embraced the institutionalization of race as the basis for public policy via its enthusiastic support for the odiously divisive critical race theory.

The rotten cherry on top is the administration's recent invitation to the corrupt United Nations to send a team to America to investigate contemporary racism and treatment of minorities. Never mind we already know what any such probe will erroneously conclude: America is riddled with systemic racism. Also, pay no attention to the fact that the U.N. Human Rights Council has legitimized such liberty-loving nations as China, Cuba, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela.

Forrest Gump's mom said life was like a box of chocolates because you never know what you're gonna get. In the case of the Biden presidency, though, we do know what we are getting: a whole lotta incompetent.
