Impact Wrestling has crowned its first female World Champion at its inaugural PPV (Pay-per-View) event.

There is one more thing for loyal fans of TNA (now rebranded as Impact Wrestling) to say about why they love about Impact Wrestling.

The company knows how to make stars that other companies will want to steal. Impact Wrestling has crowned its first female World Champion at its inaugural Pay-Per-View (PPV) event, "Hard To Kill!" Despite a rough weekend of horrible allegations surrounding her past, Tessa Blanchard became the first-ever female pro-wrestler from a mainstream company to hold a world championship title.

Impact Wrestling has always been known for having its Knockouts cross the line -- especially with the cage match 'Lita vs Victoria' on WWE Raw back in 2003. Impact has made a regular showcase of its women competing in more hardcore style matches -- from Fabulous Moolah to Chyna (WWE) to Gail Kim to Awesome Kong (TNA) Cyborg and Ronda (UFC).

Tessa Blanchard has taken the road paved by those aforementioned females in combat sports/entertainment and is building on it. With the wave of female empowerment going on in sports becoming more and more mainstream, what better way could there be to start a new decade off than by showing young women everywhere that they can achieve anything they want?
