School is almost over and summer is rapidly approaching! Here are some fun activities to tackle with close family and friends.

Since summer is quickly approaching and school is about to end, that leaves extra time to do what your hearts desire. This is also a great time to spend with your family; given that the pandemic is still happening, you can still have a gorgeous time and make the best out of it. Here are some activities you and your family can do to have an overall great summer.

Game night is always a go-to activity and a good way to bring everyone together for some competitive fun. It can range from your typical board games to card games, video games, etc. There is a game out there for everyone, even for the people who don't like to participate in games. Trust me, I'm one of those people who thought that they didn't like playing games, but after some trial and error I found the right one; Cards Against Humanity is the one for me and I absolutely love playing that with my friends.

Another suggestion, which is my all-time favorite is to have a movie night. I've always loved watching movies and doing this with my family was something that constantly brought me joy throughout the years. There is so much variety that it's almost impossible to get bored. In my household, horror movies and DC & Marvel movies/tv-shows are a must and usually end with us having a great time. And since I mentioned tv shows, binge-watching your favorite can be a part of that as well; there are so many shows that have 10+ seasons and new shows are constantly being made and a majority of us have the time to sit back and enjoy.

Lastly, theme nights seem like a good way to spend your summer as well. It can be weekly, monthly, etc., and it is a way to see how creative people can get. This can include doing a '70s-'80s theme party, Star Wars, or Disney. It can be anything you want it to be. Everyone can contribute to theme night and be as creative/expressive as they want to be and enjoy themselves.

I hope this helps and that some of you would be willing to try some of these suggestions or got some inspiration to develop your own ideas of how to have a safe, but lively summer.
