Maajid Nawaz was a peaceful and non-violent person, "combatting both Islamism and anti-Muslim bigotry in Britain." However in 2016, the SPLC saw fit to smear Nawaz, adding him to their Field Guide, a political hit list.

Reporters who continue mistaking the SPLC for a bona fide rights watchdog — relying on this organization's opinions — gravely risk their own reputations in the process, feeding the fake news paradigm.

The Alliance Defending Freedom commented on the Nawaz settlement and the SPLC's "sloppy mistakes," confirming that the SPLC "has lost all credibility as a civil-rights watchdog."

Lost credibility notwithstanding, don't look for any pull-back from the SPLC.

With $477 million in its pockets and an eternal quest for more money, admonishment and reform are the last things on the SPLC's mind.
