The SLAY app by Mari Lewellyn will have you eager and enthusiastic to wake up and crush your fitness goals.

My fitness journey began in 2018 after years of being dissatisfied with the person I saw in the mirror. When I stumbled upon Mari Lewellyn's Instagram page, I instantly became inspired by her commitment to becoming a healthier person. She started off just like me, overweight, anxious about her body image, and determined to make a difference in her life. I watched her not only transform her body but transform her life.

For the first time, I was motivated to make changes in my body that I always dreamed of. I began purchasing Mari's at-home workout guides, where I was amazed to see how quickly my body was burning fat and gaining muscle. After several months of following her programs, I lost twenty-five pounds and was an entirely new person.

That’s why I was elated to hear that on January 1st, 2021, she finally released a fitness app called SLAY. It couldn’t have come at a more perfect time for me. Working out has always been a constant battle in my life. I’ve experienced a lot of ups and downs since I started my journey back in 2018. There would be months where I would work out six days a week, followed by months where I wouldn't work out at all. Before the app was released, I was having a difficult time finding the drive to work out. I downloaded the app in hopes that working out with Mari would give me the fire I once had, and that’s exactly what it did.

Seeing everything the app had to offer made me eager to get up the next morning and crush my fitness goals. The app is different and more unique than anything I have ever encountered with Mari's previous workout guides. It allows you to upload your progression pictures, which I find more beneficial than stepping on a scale. Instead of being worried about a number, you can focus solely on how your body is changing.

In addition to the hundreds of workouts, you can view an exercise glossary where Mari Lewellyn demonstrates each exercise herself. This feature is excellent for people who are just beginning to work out. You can make sure that every movement you are making is correct, getting the most out of each exercise. The app also provides you with a strength tracker where you can track your sets, reps, and weights for each exercise. This feature has helped me push myself and set new records each week.

I just finished is my fifth week using the SLAY app, and it’s truly remarkable the differences I see in myself. Not only am I already seeing my ab lines come through that I have missed so much, but it has also helped shift my mindset. I am longer dreading my workouts and wishing I could skip a day. I’m finally finding happiness in working out again, and it’s all thanks to Mari Lewellyn and the SLAY app.
