Maxine Waters is Sent from God?

Waters is claiming she has a mission from God. Does she now believe that God talks to people? Does she now believe in people's rights to openly profess their faith and beliefs? Does she now believe a person can co-mingle their beliefs with their public life? We want to know.

Maxine Waters recently stated that she is on a mission from God to “get Trump.” Whether in a crowd attempting to rile them up to harass people or standing in a church pulpit delivering “the word” she now has a new talking point to try to legitimize her rants. From a woman who has continued to suggest violence and hate against others, this is clearly a paradox.

Waters represents groups who claim there is this unconstitutional and bogus separation of church and state. Her followers, such as those on The View, say Vice President Pence is crazy and on the fringe because “God speaks to him.” These are the same people who claim that anyone bringing their faith into government or into decision making is dangerous and should not be allowed to serve in a public office. These are the people who claim that praying in public somehow creates a danger to others, taking a position in which they want to forbid people to acknowledge God in any venue.

So, which is it for Maxine Waters? If she is publicly stating that God has sent her on a special mission to get Trump, how did she get that message? Did some person named God talk to her? Is there a new fervor for her to “spread her message” from a pulpit in a church? If so, is she following this direction as part of her political life and, if so, is she not maintaining her belief of separation of church and state? Is she now supporting the rights of people who actually believe there is a God to openly and publicly talk about their faith and how God actually works in their lives?

Or, is Maxine Waters using people’s faith and beliefs to pursue her own personal agenda? If so, she is flagrantly poking fun at people while attempting to suck those people into her new religious belief that she is somehow speaking for and acting on behalf of someone named God.

The God of the Bible -- the God that she allegedly claims to be speaking on His behalf -- is not the God of lies, hate and violence. The God of the Bible is the God who, through the teachings of Jesus, loves people, tells people to forgive others as He has forgiven them, instructs people to live in peace with others. No, this is not the God Maxine Waters is attempting to make us believe is sending her on a mission. So one has to ask, exactly whose God is Maxine Waters saying sent her to do this mission? Why does she think it is okay to desecrate a church’s pulpit that claims to worship the God of the Bible to spread her message of hate and violence? And, why is it now okay for her to co-mingle someone named God in her public life while condemning others?

One has to ask the questions, but it is not likely that Maxine Waters has those answers.
