Being a sibling is like being part of a team, a team that argues and fights constantly, but when it comes down to it, will have each other's backs.

As one of three kids, I have experience with siblings, and I can honestly say, I don’t think I could manage without them.

Siblings are the people who yell for you when the TV show you’re watching comes back on, as well the people you fight with to get control of said TV.

They are the ones who bother you constantly, especially if they’re younger, and refuse to butt out of your business. If they’re anything like mine, they might even broadcast your business at the dinner table.

Siblings are the ones you try to demolish on Xbox or PS4, whether it be at NBA or Just Dance. They are the ones who tattle on you and the ones you tattle on.

And as soon as you or sibling is old enough, you have a built-in sparring partner as well as a friend, who will be incredibly honest with you.

If you’re the oldest, like me, you have someone who will look up to you and if you’re the youngest, you’ll have a chauffeur and all your friends will think you’re so cool.

You’ll be able to go halfsies, thirdsies or even better on any or all presents for your parents.

Every day with my siblings consists of arguing, physical fighting, laughing, and eventually getting along, but I wouldn’t trade any of the bruises or losses on Xbox for anything, especially now.

During this pandemic, my siblings and I have been forced to spend more time together than we have since I started college three years ago.

And like I said, we fight and argue like most siblings. Most days, at least one of us storms out of the room or ends up tears, but I don’t think I could survive stuck in this house with just my parents.

As annoying as my siblings are, I don’t know what I’d do without them.
