Is He Really Good?

But everyone was surprised how well he played...

In the 49ers pre-games Nick Mullens, a third-string quarterback showed that he could accurately throw the football, and he was very good at the 2-minute drill.

It seemed like within the 2-minute drill, he would have the team making a touchdown. It was fun to watch Mullens move the team down the field.

But for some reason you would not see him in a regular game; in other words, he was on the practice team.

When the first string quarterback and the second-string quarterback got hurt, they had to bring in Nick Mullens, the third-string quarterback.

The coach looked really worried because this was the first time Mullens played in a major league game; all of the other games he played in were pre-season practice games.

But everyone was surprised at how well he played—he led the 49ers to several touchdowns, with which the team won the game (34-3).

Like one person said, “this could be a fluke.” This coming Sunday, if they play him again and he does well, we will know the truth/

During the season I kept asking everyone, “What happened to the quarterback that was really good during the pre-season games?” I was told that he was a third-string quarterback and they don’t play third-string quarterbacks unless they have to.

Is this correct, or is there someone pulling my leg and leading me on?
