Is America Really Divided?

From outside, it appears that America is a divided nation that is split between two ideologies. But are we? Those who are loud get all the attention. Yelling someone down, however, demonstrates weakness and drives people away from the one doing the yelling. The country has some division but is not divided. The majority needs to speak up and take our country back!

It seems America is a divided nation. Watching and listening to the various media, one would believe that Americans are evenly split down the middle between two ideologies. If that were the case, then America is destined to follow the same path as the Roman Empire, doomed for destruction. I question, though, are we really that divided?

The majority of Americans, the real Americans, have a moral compass, recognize that absolute power corrupts absolutely, are told by the few loud insignificant left that we must be tolerant to accept the perverse, inclusive to accept our enemies, and diverse to exchange talent and skills for how someone looks or acts.

America is not a perfect nation as we have our faults. Compared to other countries, however, we are a great nation. Our greatness is based on our founding principles of knowing right from wrong, being respectful to others even if we don’t like them, and the expectation of treating everyone equally in the eyes of the law.

The majority stands respectfully for the flag, sings the national anthem with their hands over their hearts, honors our military and those who have faithfully served our nation, worships freely, and shows respect to others.  Those actions are not signs of weakness, but of strength.  The majority wants the America the founding fathers designed with an intact Constitution and everyone equal – with the right to pursue life, liberty, and happiness and to have equal justice that follows the rule of law. We are tired of the double standard and we must demonstrate to the loud few that this is our country, our values that are being mocked, our rights that are being destroyed.

Our country may appear divided when those who are loud, obnoxious, and vulgar are perceived to be speaking on the behalf of others when in fact they are simply self-serving, egotistical, vulgar failures looking for attention and wanting people to look at them. Well, we look and we are embarrassed and offended. Whether politicians like Pelosi, Schumer, or Waters who continue to embarrass all Americans daily to sports and Hollywood celebrities who think because they have a following for their so-called skills that it somehow means they speak on people’s behalf, it doesn’t take much for others to believe we are a divided nation.

These people are not the majority. The majority are Americans who follow and live by traditional American values. The majority love this country and the freedom it provides its citizens. They continue to use their time to support family, support noble and charitable causes, and support each other in times of need or disaster. They teach their children values of right and wrong, respect, hard work, and the American dream. They worship in freedom while not pushing their beliefs on others. They respect other people’s lives and stay out of them while taking care of their own.

The majority is not divided. It is our time to show the world we are united.
