How Do You Win?

I enjoy playing video poker, but lately I have noticed something that is rather disturbing. It seems that as my chip count goes down, I tend to lose more often. One has to wonder why.

I've taken to playing video poker on my computer. From my experience, there are days when all I can do is lose. I move from game to game, investing money I don't enjoy losing, and there are times when I honestly believe that I am dealing with a set up.

Is there someone at the other end who is arranging that I lose hand after hand in order that I buy more chips?  I haven't done so for quite a while, but now that my bank is getting lower, it crosses my mind that it isn't all happening accidentally. Are the "powers behind the throne" arranging that I am forced to buy more chips?

Perhaps that may sound paranoid, but it appears all to coincidental. When I have a great deal of play money, my chances of winning are excellent, and on the other hand, when it seems time to buy more chips, I am in a no win situation (to coin a phrase).

I am sure that there have to be others out there who play and have played video poker, and if so, have you ever experienced a similar situation?

Frankly, I am just curious. The option is still mine to leave whatever game I am at, and not play again until I have more money to wager. However, I really enjoy the challenge of playing and learning the game of hold-em poker I play, and now feel more comfortable participating in live games when the opportunity presents itself.

About 10 minutes ago I was facing such a situation, and in light of both my frustration and my inability to purchase more chips today, I did just that. I stopped playing!

I am anxious to know whether others have had experiences that are similar to mine. And for this reason, I am writing this article in hopes that there are those of you who also spend time playing video poker as well, and are able to respond to my dilemma.

Frankly, I had no desire to go back to losing again, so instead of permitting whatever or whomever to put me back in the same predicament, I decided to write this article in lieu of continuing to participate.

In all honesty, I sincerely hope that if you also spend days playing this game on your computer, that you will have the time to let me know if you have ever also experienced such happenings, and if so, did you come away entertaining similar feelings?
