Guys: Passionflix is the Perfect Gift for Your Special Lady
This streaming movie site showcases a “Barometer of Naughtiness” that ranges from Pride & Prejudice to 50 Shades of Grey.
Guys, have you ever wasted huge amounts of time clicking through movie titles on a Saturday night, looking for just the right movie that she will like?
It can take a while – I mean, let’s face it, what do we know about what movies women will actually like?
And while we’re clicking through the titles, we could slip and say something dumb like “Are you SURE you don’t want to watch Terminator again?”
Passionflix has come to our rescue, guys.
Passionflix is a service that streams romantic movies based on top-selling romance novels.
Passionflix is all about, well – passion. And romance. Or possible romance, anyway.
Hope springs eternal and all that.
Think of Passionflix as Netflix by women, for women.
A quick look at Passionflix.com reveals female favorites like Meet Joe Black, Witness, Afterburn Aftershock, She’s All That, The Trouble with Mistletoe and The Thomas Crown Affair.
There are romantic comedies – Kate & Leopold, Four Weddings & a Funeral – and period pieces (Somewhere in Time, Jane Eyre) – and more steamy fare (Hollywood Dirt).
The site has a “Barometer of Naughtiness” rating system that ranges from Pride & Prejudice – slightly warm – to 50 Shades of Grey – hot as all get-out (I am guessing, I haven’t seen it).
“There’s nothing wrong with sex, is there?” asked Passionflix CEO Tosca Musk, a film director and producer who recently raised $4.75 million to get Passionflix off the ground.
Passionflix likes to champion women who are comfortable in their sexuality, said Musk.
The goal, said Musk, is to accentuate positive relationships between women and men.
The cost is just $5.99 a month for unlimited movie watching, on any device (phone, laptop, desktop or tablet).
Passionflix will actually likely SAVE us money in the long-run – no fancy dinners or outings to the movie theater required. Now we can just go straight to Passionflix!
Musk recently spoke on her new venture to DEW, or Digital Entertainment World, held in Marina del Rey, in Los Angeles.
Passionflix is off to a strong start, Musk told the audience. Passionflix now has 70,000 followers on social media.
The site will eventually include content that appeals to LGBTQ, different ethnicities and every age group.
More movie titles are on the way, including original productions that Passionflix will underwrite – mostly based on best-selling books.
So guys, I’m telling you, surprise her with a subscription to Passionflix.com.
I already did it, it was a big hit with the wife!
We can always get back to our action flicks some other time.
And maybe, out of appreciation for Passionflix, our ladies will join us now and then!
Like I said, hope springs eternal.
We’ve seen streaming services emerge around art movies, horror movies and comedy (R.I.P. Seeso) — so why not romance? That’s...
