After hearing that 'Grace and Frankie' is one of the best shows to binge right now, I decided to give it a shot and offer a little review.

I have a long list of movies and television shows that I eventually have to watch. It seems never-ending! I decided to try out one of those shows, specifically "Grace and Frankie" on Netflix.

The show is about two older women, Grace (Jane Fonda) and Frankie (Lily Tomlin), whose husbands, Robert (Martin Sheen) and Sol (Sam Waterston), have been secretly dating one another behind their backs for years. The women have no choice but to live together despite not being that close. As time goes on, however, Grace and Frankie end up becoming unexpected best friends.

While I was rather hesitant to give this a try, I decided to anyway! And I'm glad I did. The show illustrates the twists and turns of being newly-single women in their 70s all while expressing the passions, insecurities and concerns they go through. I know I am only 23 years old and while this show revolves around people 50 years older than me, this show is one of the best I've watched in a while. It's filled with laugh-out-loud humor and those heart-warming moments where you can't help but smile.

It was definitely a little surprising to see that their husbands are gay, but it made me happy nonetheless. I have nothing against homosexuals as it's their life, but it's refreshing to see a slice of the LGBT community within an older generation who may think differently. I definitely believe this aspect of the show will allow younger viewers to give it a shot and realize, "Hey, this isn't that bad!"

Overall, I enjoyed season one and will continue watching the rest of the show. It's funny and full of wit that makes you laugh out loud nonetheless. It's refreshing to see a cast filled with two of the industry's most talented actresses. And a show that focuses on getting older is just a part of life. Give this show a shot; you just may be surprised as I was.
