"Heartbreak Weather" by Niall Horan came out on March 13th, 2020 and still is on many people's heavy rotation. Take a look at what makes each song special with a breakdown of Horan's story.

"Heartbreak Weather" is Niall Horan’s second album. With 14 songs to choose from, you get a good variety of music from Horan’s album. You have songs like "Nice to Meet Ya" and "Small Talk" to get you moving, switching to songs like "Dear Patience" and "Still" to make you take a seat and listen, this album will take you on a trip through the process of finding that perfect someone and then the "Heartbreak Weather" with the fallout after.

Niall's Story:
"Heartbreak Weather"- This song is about feeling alone and empty but when you find the right person you are “blinded by the sparks,” as Horan says in the song. The song has an upbeat tempo that has you moving your head right from the start.

"Black and White"- A natural progression to "Heartbreak Weather," you have a song about seeing a vision of what you want for the future. The music is both somber and upbeat. You are able to jive to the song but also, you can cry to it.

"Bend the Rules"- A little different from the first couple of songs, this one falls more into the tracks of a break-up that he wants to undo. This is up for interpretation but with the slow nature of the song, and the lyric "just some medicine for now" leads me to believe this.

"Everywhere"- After a break-up you see them in everything and everywhere. That is what this song is about. You try to forget them but it’s impossible because it’s not that easy. This song articulates this. While the lyrics are sad the beat still has you bobbing your head while listening-- consciously or not.

"New Angel"- The song about getting a rebound. He wants "a touch i’ve never felt" so he can forget this love. This is the natural progression to "Everywhere" where you want to forget the person who broke your heart, this is the solution he came up with. This is the song you put on in the car with the windows rolled down driving by the coast (or just down the road).

"Still"- In my opinion, the absolute saddest song. This song is about going back to that person and being completely open and vulnerable with them telling them, "If honesty means telling you the truth, well I’m still in love with you." This song will make you question whether or not you still love your ex. It has a more acoustic feel to it which makes the sentiment of the song more open and hopeful.

Honorable mentions: "Cross Your Mind," "San Francisco," "Arms of a Stranger," "Dear Patience," "Small Talk"

The Singles: "Nice to Meet Ya," "Put a Little Love on Me," "No Judgement," "Black and White."

If we don't learn how to manage relationships with robots that look and act more like humans, we're in for heartbreak.
