Metal particles in vehicle brake dust 'damage the immune system as much as diesel pollution'

Researchers at King's College London said brake dust, made by microscopic pieces of vehicle brake pads and discs breaking off because of friction, accounts for 20 per cent of PM2.5 traffic pollution.
