Doom and Doom II no longer require a Bethesda account

Three weeks ago, Bethesda released a trio of classic Doom  games on modern consoles without any prior warning. It should've been a joyous occasion. Alas, it was not. People roasted Bethesda to hell and back for including a mandatory login to a bethesda.net account for the games to be functional. That is now gone, as Bethesda has, at long last, patched out this misguided requirement in Doom...
