Joelle is a public policy major at University of Maryland and switches between working as a bartender and a substitute teacher. Originally from Montgomery County, she plans to work in racial justice and education policy, as she believes that the solution to our societal problems is a more emotionally intelligent world. Joelle loves research, painting, animals and the paranormal. She believes that everyone should have the resources to fight their own battles and the psyche to fight for others, and as such she is invested in analyzing the myriad of ways that inadequate education systems impact communities and is determined to be part of the fight to ensure fair treatment for all people.
