THE LATEST PODCAST: Just Women's Sports
A new startup, JustWomensSports.com, seeks to provide proper coverage of women's sports. Listen to founder Haley Rosen (former professional soccer player) discuss the early stages of her journey -- and what she sees ahead.
On THE LATEST PODCAST, Christine O'Donnell and I had a great chat with Haley Rosen, founder of JustWomensSports.com.
Haley played varsity women's soccer at Stanford University and then went professional. Now she's starting an online news network devoted to women's sports.
Traditional media outlets' coverage of women's sports amounts to just 4% of all sports coverage.
Are women's sports less exciting to watch? Or is it sexism that explains less interest on the part of media outlets? Who watches women's sports, anyway?
While we're at it, why does the women's national team receive less pay than their male counterparts? And how has Haley's startup been impacted by coronavirus?

My co-host, Christine O'Donnell, was a championship rower for University of Minnesota at one time; I played varsity soccer for Stanford back in the days when nobody knew what soccer was.

Coming up next week: Pat Mitchell, author of "Becoming a Dangerous Woman".
