In THE LATEST PODCAST, we spend time with Dr. Allan Lichtman, author of Predicting the Next President, Keys to the White House. 

Back in 1981, Dr. Lichtman developed model that has predicted every presidential election since 1984.

Every election, according to Dr. Lichtman, is essentially a referendum on the party currently holding the White House.

There are 13 factors he looks at -- which he calls the keys -- when making his predictions, which he spells out in this podcast.

Lichtman has applied his model to every election going back to 1860. He says it has been accurate each presidential election.

There was one explainable anomaly -- the 2000 race between Al Gore and George W. Bush -- which Dr. Lichtman discusses in this podcast.
